Responsibilities

Job Summary:
Head Office and regulatory reporting / Financial accounting / Tax Management


Responsibilities:

Head Office Reporting –

  • Assisting in the Monthly reporting of the financial data in Head Office Tools in accordance with French GAAP and IFRS in a timely manner. Effectively liaising with the Head office team and responding to various queries raised by them.

    Regulatory Reporting –

    • Collating and submitting Regulatory Reports
    • Assisting in Consolidation and submission of Regulatory returns i.e., Risk Based Supervision, DSB returns and other returns in a timely manner.
    • Improving Workflow / Process / Methods in RBI reporting and stabilizing existing automated reports to ensure savings on time/efforts
    • Responsible for initiating, supporting and concluding automation initiatives on reporting
    • Assisting in responding to queries on the Regulatory reporting’s from the RBI

    Tax Management –

    • Assisting in Tax Audit and Transfer Pricing reports, Filing of Tax Returns (Corporate & TP)
    • Assisting of data to various tax departments during assessments
    • Reconciling the TDS account of the bank with actual TDS certificates, TDS Returns and Tax Returns.
    • Prepare a reconciliation with the Financial Data for all the Tax filings,
    • Assisting in management of various aspects of corporate taxes with the help of tax advisors, liasioning with regional tax team for tax queries and clarifications on tax issues.

    Month-end Activities –

    •  Responsible for Vendor processing and WHT implications on vendor payments
    • All the month end closing activities including monitoring of control accounts as per Local GAAP
    • Perform P&L Variance analysis
    • Review of all Balance sheet Ledgers and suspense accounts

    Yearly Activity –

    • Provide the details required by Statutory and Internal Auditors on the Financial statements


    Other Activities –

    • Fine tuning / automating various processes which require considerable amount of man hours, implementing check and controls in existing processes to ensure improved data quality.
    • Coordinating with various audit teams viz. statutory auditors, tax auditors, RBI inspectors; providing them the required data and resolving the queries raised by them.
    • To provide relevant information required on the existing process by the management for performing Impact analysis for New products or system replacement.
    • Assisting the finance team on all  Projects

    Profile required

    Academic Background:

    Chartered Accountant

    Relevant Working Experience in number of years:

    2-5 years’ experience

    Skills & Competencies required:

    • In depth understanding of various Tax Laws 
    • In depth Knowledge on Local GAAP, INDAS & IFRS
    • In depth understanding of Management Reporting / Budgeting Process
    • To deliver under pressure meeting stringent deadlines
    • In depth Knowledge of Financial Reporting to RBI
    • Client: Risk & Client focus
    • Innovation: Simplification & Technology

    Language Skills:

    English, Good written and Verbal skills

    Computer Skill:

    Excellent knowledge on Excel, PowerPoint, Access
