VIE Full Stack Developer
Responsibilities

The aim of Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Société Générale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation. GBSU differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units.
The VIE will work as part of the “Canada Innovation” team. It is an innovation lab (or incubator) with the objective of leading the regional community Inno'Sens, creating POCs (Proof Of Concepts) and MVPs (Minimum Viable Products) for various bank players when applicable.
Canada Innovation has a wide range of expertise, including automation, process improvement, advisory and software development. Its mission is to deliver solutions with a reduced time to market, while using modern technologies and processes to be scalable and sustainable, and being in touch with the American eco-system (startups, fintech, etc.).
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain tools to enforce automatization processes and digitalization
• Gather and analysis business requirements by communicating with users
• Participate in the organization of events (Hackathon, Lunch&Learn, etc) to promote innovation within the Americas
• Be a key member for the onboarding and upskill of new joiners
• Follow and enforce the implementation of the Agile Methodology within the team
• Maintain a good team spirit and sense of belonging
• Provide support on day-to-day operations supporting Defect, Problem, and Crisis processes

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master’s degree from a Business/Engineering School or University
- Experience in IT project management (Agile/Scrum) or as an Product Owner (PO)
Language skills:
- Very good oral and written communication in French and English
Technical, operational & soft skills:
- Very strong autonomy, time management and ownership of his work
- Good leadership skills, adaptability and task prioritization in a dynamic environment
- Good analytical/problem-solving skills (Design Thinking, ...)
- Strong interest and at least one experience in AI (ML, GenAI, DeepLearning, ...)
- Good knowledge in Web development languages (Java, ReactJS, Python, SQL, ...)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Montreal is to begin in March 2025, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
