Lead Expert
Responsibilities
Team oversees operational risks & conduct controls for MARK/Front Office Business Line. Acting as the FLOD – First Line of Defense of the firm which focus on the identification of any Rouge trading/regulatory breaches for Front office by.
· Performing, identification & deployment of controls
· Implementing corrective or remedial actions in response to any failures identified by controls
Key responsibilities
· Executions of cases to ensure first level controls are in accordance with regulatory or internal requirements. Ensuring controls are run/executed in a risk-controlled environment with adequate checks.
· Handling of complex activity which are non-SOP in nature
· Ability to perform independent checks, recognize fictitious/inconsistent patterns, constantly challenging the process and the ability to work with limited training and dynamic environment
· Accountability to autonomously work on multiple topics under high pressure and be flexibility to support the business requirement.
· Produce KPIs for Paris/Local management and worldwide stake holders.
· Reporting, tracking and follow up of control exceptions with Front Office /Middle Office / Compliance / COO / ITEC support / ORCM/ OSM’s etc. Work in conjunction with business to understand business, concerns, future plans and provide support to mitigate risk.
· Deliver 100% quality production by way of Controlling, Monitoring, Analyzing and Completion of activities and tasks.
· Manage Internal & External Audits & ensure if any recommendations/observations are handled on timely manner within the stipulated deadlines.
· Communication: Ensure appropriate communication with the team, management, and all operational teams at highest standard while following the escalation matrix
· Ensure process documentation is up to date and capture any changes in the process. Collaborates with peers, Lead, Supervisor, stakeholders to implement improvements by
o Identification of control gaps and deficiencies and development of remediation plans.
o Track and ensure complete, consistent and timely implementation of recommendations by undertaking a series of (follow-ups) checks and reporting of any relevant issues accordingly.
· Analytical - Analyze data sets for irregularities and fraud indicators; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment & supports and explains reasoning for decision.
· Deliver/Complete the activities and tasks related to assigned process with expected quality and timeliness. Monitoring and tracking on the risk and control handling. additional duties i.e., Email correspondences on time, PDP completion, cross trainings.
· Demonstrate adaptability and agility towards process needs by being flexible in terms of shifts and working hours. Work on projects and process improvements which will lead to better efficiency of implemented controls.

Hard Skills
• Front office Risk Management (Control Risk Analysis and mitigation)
• Expert in Capital markets Instruments
• Knowledge on Fraud Risk Management, Financial Regulation (Dodd Franck Act, Volcker, FATCA etc)
• Understand of various Line of Defense and its role
• Control Framework Management
• Experience in Audit/Spot check reviews
Soft Skills
• Results Oriented– Ability to have analytical mindset to identify and remediate risk with scenario-based approach.
• Ability to deal with difficult stakeholders at different levels of hierarchy (Front Office, IT, Back Office).

• Ability to understand complex concept without much help, should be self-learner and adapt to non-SOP driven process.
