Responsibilities

  • Provide production support across all products under the department’s responsibility (server hardware, VMware and Nutanix environment) including day-to-day administration, support shift and weekend operations.
  • Provide support in Asia Pacific region.
  • Monitor all technical platforms to ensure continual and quality service provisioning.
  • Plan and deploy upgrades and configuration changes to fulfil compliance, security or audit requirements.
  • Provide guidance for virtualization best practices.
  • Manage projects and new initiatives under virtualization perimeter.
  • Configure and test HA/BCP on virtual environment.
  • Work in close relationship with other IT teams to ensure client requirement and expectation are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Work with global team to align standards.
  • Deliver continuous improvement of the platform through automation.
  • Follow and work under Agile SCRUM framework through delivery of backlog in sprints.

Profile required

Academic Background and Certifications, Experience:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
  • Broad experience in IT infrastructure support and operations
  • VMware and Nutanix certificates would be a plus
  • Experience with Agile SCRUM framework would be a plus
  • Experience with Public Cloud (Azure, AWS, etc.) would be a plus

Operational Skills:

  • Strong experience in VMware vSphere ESXi, vCenter, vRA and Nutanix
  • Solid experience in server hardware (HPE, DELL, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skill
  • Hands-on experience in PowerShell scripting
  • Hands-on experience in infrastructure automation through CI/CD, DevOps tooling like Python, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Git, GitHub Actions, etc.
  • Good understanding of networking technologies (switching, routing, firewall, etc.)
  • Fluent English is mandatory, and excellent communication is a must
  • ITIL foundation knowledge

Department Description:

GTS/IAS is the infrastructure department in charge of delivering, managing and supporting Cloud backend, Servers, Storage and Backup in Asia Pac. We manage more than 4,500 OS instances spread over 8 countries. The CTS department specifically deals with offers related to BareMetal and Virtualization.
