Trainee
Responsibilities
- Assist Team Head to manage the overall corporate client relationship in order for Societe Generale to be seen as a long-term partner
- To assist Team Head to identify, originate, develop corporate client relationships that are in line with the Bank’s strategy including but not limited to sustainable financing, positive impact transactions, etc. In addition, to assist the Team Head to manage a quality client portfolio to which the Bank have lending or credit exposure
- Understand client requirements and work with front office of business lines to pitch suitable financing solutions and advisory or other services
- Promote cross-selling other banking products and diversify revenue streams to achieve sustainable business targets
- Assist Team Head to develop detailed client plans to establish pipeline opportunities/ priorities for resource planning in line with the local business plan and global account strategies.
- Assist Team for new client acquisition including onboarding memo, E&S memo, KYC
- Collaboration with various internal stakeholders including business lines, risk officer, credit analysts, back office supports function, legal and compliance team within China and across different regions for new business requests and annual review of existing portfolio
- Support the preparation of E&S memos and business rationale sections of credit application of new business request or annual review
- Prepare presentation and marketing materials for use in client meetings
- To prepare briefing memos for Senior Management's visits and specific transactions
- Execution support of plain vanilla corporate loan transactions
- Participating to the negotiations of some commercial transactions
- To conduct ad hoc market research or prepare research findings which is relevant to client’s business and corresponding industrial sectors
- Assist in special credit related assignments and projects as required and back up and support other corporate credit analysts as required by Team Head
- Support Team Head to build and maintain network of key decision-makers and contacts of corporate clients
- Occasional business travels are required
Profile required
- Bachelor's degree (Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics preferred but also open for other relevant academic discipline and master's degree can be a plus).
- At least 1 year experience in a role of financial risk analysis or assistant corporate relationship manager. Extra years of experience in similar position in banking industry would be highly preferred.
- Strong accounting and financial analysis skills.
- Basic knowledge on commercial banking products is a plus.
- Good interpersonal & communication skills good presentation and negotiation skills.
- Team playing.
- English/Mandarin – Fluent in both speaking and writing.
- Well versed in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint is a must)

Responsible for increasing the corporate customer base, strengthening the interaction with existing customers, and providing customers with creative value-added products and services that are distinct from their competitors.
