Responsibilities

The aim of Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Société Générale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation. GBTO differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units.

This role provides comprehensive administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), requiring strong executive support skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must demonstrate initiative, problem-solving abilities, sound judgment, and discretion in handling highly confidential matters. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to interact professionally at all levels within and outside the organization.

 

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

  • Calendar & Meeting Management: Maintain and manage the COO’s calendar, ensuring deadlines are met; organize meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up on action items.
  • Communication & Correspondence: Handle sensitive communications with discretion; draft, proofread, and translate (as needed) internal and external communications; prioritize and respond to correspondence.
  • Coordination & Logistics: Schedule appointments, engagements, and travel; prepare itineraries and expense reports; ensure accurate allocation of costs.
  • Document Management: Manage and process documents across various software platforms, maintaining proficiency in MS Office and other tools.
  • Professional Interactions: Collaborate with all levels of management and Board members, demonstrating courtesy, diplomacy, and professionalism.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to internal policies (e.g., sponsorships, gifts, meals); follow compliance procedures and process invoices.
  • Support Activities: Provide business continuity with other Executive Assistants; resolve competing priorities while maintaining quality.

Profile required

Skills and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • College diploma in administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of executive-level administrative experience, preferably in a large organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Outlook, Teams, and Zoom.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities in high-pressure environments.
  • Autonomy, initiative, and flexibility in adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must work on-site at Société Générale offices.

 

Languages: French and English

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
