Technical Architect
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the technology architecture strategy and drive the advanced technology topics.
- Act as a subject matter expert on technology architecture and provide insights to senior management.
- With strong technical and presentation skills, ability to drive the Architecture topics to identify the opportunities and uses cases to promote flagship technologies within the group part of the Architecture ambition.
- Ability to identify opensource opportunities, OSS alternatives for the commercial softwares by performing study, primary and secondary research, work with all DSI(s) and influence, obtain buy-in and deliver the business case and proposal with gap analysis, functional matrix, assess the migration cost.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to discuss architectural decisions and gather feedback and present to stakeholders.
- Create architectural blueprints and models to guide development teams in implementing solutions
- Lead architectural reviews and ensure adherence to best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Build networks and influence DSIs on Architecture ambition/roadmap and execute programs independently
- Develop and present architectural proposals to stakeholders and senior management, ensuring clarity and alignment to produce the value.
- Participating in weekly hurdles with up-to-date backlog, and able to bring topics into traction and deliver as per the milestones.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment of best practices, technology solutions with business goals.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Lead architectural reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ability to drive the Technologies Leagues , Guild by identifying the suitable topics and evangelize across all DSI(s).
- Ability to produce Technology dashboards and KPIs which will help sponsors in decision making.
- Building concrete techno-functional proposals from abstract concepts.
- Work with designers and developers to explain the product design/structure and assist them throughout the development process.
- Review project, application or service architecture and recommend any changes required.
- Create and update functional and application workflow maps for the Business Line to enable a better understanding of business and IS to serve it.
- Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and design patterns.
- Participate in preparing Proof of Concept (POC)s/initiatives.
Profile required
- 10+ years of experience in technology architecture, software development, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, etc.).
- Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of/enthusiasm towards opensource concepts, principles & various technologies
- Experience in techno-functional design & solution building
- Exposure to Cloud technologies & DevOps is a plus
