Responsibilities

SGSS has been present in Italy since September 2006 through a dedicated Italian Bank, SGSS S.p.A., one of the main players in the Securities Services' industry that covers all SGSS businesses for its two segments of clients: Financial Institutions & Brokers and Asset Managers & Insurance. Thanks to over 500 employees based in Milan and Turin, SGSS S.p.A. ensures a daily support to over 300 clients. Our clients are institutional investors (insurance companies and pension funds), asset managers, financial intermediaries (brokers, investments companies).

Mission: 

The Legal team works closely with the Société Générale Community to anticipate and manage the legal risks being at the same time an active part of the entire Organization’s Development.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Legal research and analyses
  • Draft legal documents such as contracts, power of attorney and legal opinion
  • Maintain legal files and databases
  • Prepare reports and summaries on legal matters
  • Support the legal team members in the daily activities and legal proceedings
  • Support the legal team in the corporate affairs
  • Learn and apply legal principles and procedures within the SGSS environment

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law
  • Preferable: previous experienced (3 months) as Legal Intern

Language skills:

  • Italian – C2
  • English – B2

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Knowledge of Banking and Industrial Law
  • Strong interest in banking and finance
  • Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Outlook, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Rigorous, with a sense of priorities and highly organized
  • Collaborative and Team Player
  • Operational problem solver
  • You like to work with people: you are a good listener with patience, and you respond by trying to give simple explanations on complicated subjects
