Responsibilities

Description of Business Line

We are a proven leader in ESG finance and are growing our UK presence  as part of our aims to achieve a robust €500bn in sustainable finance commitments by 2030 globally.

We will achieve this by working with our clients across all sectors providing ideas and financing for a rage of initiatives covering both social and environmental topics for financing and sustainable bonds.

This role will sit in London supporting the UK team, working with all Front Office Bankers in UK covering the CEEMEA region providing advice and guidance on all ESG matters.

Key Purposes of Role

Contribute to the promotion of Sustainability and Impact Advisory (SIA) service offering in the UK in support of all Origination Teams across our Investment Banking division (Coverage, lending, F&A etc.), as part of the UK&CEEMEA regional coverage of SIA.

The key objectives of the role are:

Developing the origination and structuring of Investment Banking transactions by accompanying UK clients and business lines in the integration of ESG in their strategic situations (M&A, IPO, Structured Finance Advisory mandates).

Supporting clients on accelerating the development of innovative solutions and new business models that deliver positive impact with scale-up potential, through our impact investment solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

Raise awareness and provide training among UK Front Office on ESG matters

Promote SIA offering in wider UK and CEEMEA region, executing mandates in coordination with global teams:

o   ESG corporate advisory for UK and CEEMEA clients and situations

o   Sustainable finance structuring and ESG asset advisory for strategic UK and CEEMEA situations in coordination with Paris and other global teams (will include loan structuring in the UK and CEEMEA and BOND structuring in cooperation with Debt Solutions and Advisory teams.

o   Impact Investment situations in UK and CEEMEA

o   Ensure appropriate representation of regional specificities within the different banking streams

Profile required

Experience / Competencies Required

·       Knowledge and understanding of key energy transition, ESG trends and sustainable financing principles.

·       Financing structuring capabilities and good knowledge of the different Banking products and services

·       Commercial mindset with experience dealing with a variety of client types (corporates, FI, sovereigns etc) bringing origination capabilities

·       Risk awareness and strong adherence to compliance and regulatory policies

·       Strong communication skills with ability to quickly form relationships with internal teams and clients

·       Ability to work autonomously and in a pro-active manner

·       Ability to think of innovative solutions
