Business Analyst
Responsibilities
The “Generalized Printing System” team is part of the IT department supporting the French Retail Banking division of Société Générale. You will join a team responsible for developing and maintaining applications within the document management ecosystem. This includes handling tools used for mass processing and distribution of documents for 100+ applications used by the bank.
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with Product Owner and high technical capabilities (development), to take on a key role in the evolution and maintenance of our document management applications.
This role involves working closely with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, handling multiple stakeholders and promoting agile practices throughout the process.
What you will do:
Coordinate a portfolio of 10-20 applications from end-to-end perspective (scoping, analysis and design, planning, functional and technical validation, delivery in production)
Gather and clarify business needs & requirements from internal teams, and translate them into clear, actionable user stories and functional specifications
Maintain a clear and realistic product backlog by aligning business priorities with technical capacity and delivery timelines
Estimate effort and cost in collaboration with developers, track team capacity and prepare and monitor delivery in production
Prepare regular reports on progress and risks, for both management and the internal team
Facilitate planning and refinement sessions (may be required to step in as a Scrum Master as a back-up)
Conduct acceptance testing and validate deliverables before release
Initiate and lead analysis concerning bug reduction, time and cost optimization for our clients
Lead projects related to technical migrations (including Cloud), ensuring end-to-end facilitation of discussions with architecture and infrastructure teams, along with the internal development team
Be ready to step in as a developer for specific tasks, contributing to the technical solution
Support the agile ways of working in a culturally rich environment (over multiple time-zones)
Profile required
Previous strong experience as a developer on Exstream/Streamserve technology
Experience as a IT Business Analyst in banking (preferable in the document management system area)
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken (French language skills or desire to develop in this area is a plus)
Strong autonomy and emotional intelligence (take ownership while nurturing collaboration)
Skilled at synthetizing the big picture while remaining detail-oriented when execution demands it
Experience in working in agile environments, ideally with cross-functional, multicultural teams
Promoter of best practices in documentations, process design, and agile collaboration
Comfortable with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office Suite
