Responsibilities

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Finance Department of Global Banking and Investor Solutions (GBIS) is a global organization with a local presence. Our core mission in the Americas involves delivering sound financial reports, supporting Business Units, Service Units and General Management with financial and strategic steering, effectively scrutinize business plans, and offering good advice on the efficient use of our capital, liquidity, and funding resources. The Finance Department performs independent certification of all financial aggregates and creates the daily P&L explanation on market activities. In addition, our robust teams also oversee and execute cross-business projects in the financial and regulatory areas of the industry by providing expertise on accounting, prudential and tax norms while ensuring compliance.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

You will support the team on the timely and accurate preparation of various Department of Commerce reports in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. You’ll be:

  • Responsible for performing daily, weekly, monthly, etc. control checks to ensure the data being Prepare and deliver timely, accurate regulatory reports for the Department of Commerce and U.S. banking authorities
  • Conduct routine data quality checks (daily, weekly, monthly) to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Monitor data feeds, investigate discrepancies, and follow up on missing or incomplete files from internal systems
  • Reconcile financial data in accordance with U.S. GAAP standards
  • Review and validate key data attributes for new clients and accounts
  • Identify and correct anomalies in financial records, such as misclassified balances
  • Analyze and resolve referential data issues impacting reporting integrity
  • Produce daily internal reports on total and trading asset positions across the Americas
  • Support the preparation and review of branch-level regulatory submissions
  • Assist in audits, internal reviews, and Federal Reserve examinations
  • Perform transaction-level testing as part of the control framework
  • Execute data reconciliations and contribute to ongoing validation efforts
  • Leverage tools like Power BI and Alteryx to enhance reporting and automation
  • Participate in data quality assessments, lineage tracking, and process improvements
  •  Maintain collaborative relationships with Finance, IT, and data stakeholders to ensure reporting alignment
  • Help ensure documentation and procedures remain current and compliant

 

Profile required

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience Required:

  • Ideally, 2+ years of experience in banking, finance, or regulatory reporting
  • Solid understanding of banking products and industry practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with large data sets
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Alteryx) is a strong advantage
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory reporting requirements
  • Skilled in assessing data accuracy and identifying discrepancies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized self-starter with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and U.S. banking regulations is a plus
  • BA/BS required or Master’s degree preferred


LANGUAGE: 

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
