About the team:
This role will support the electronic activities of the FX Trading desks, with a strong emphasis on emerging spot FX and NDF in London.
Summary of Key Purposes of the Role:
Sitting on the trading floor with the Quant developers and Quant traders, the candidate will be supporting the applications which are part of the FX eMarket Making platform.
Responsibilities:
· Providing 1st Line support for electronic trading applications (pricing engines/auto-hedgers/monitoring tools). This will involve investigation into common queries which do not require developers to intervene.
· Maintaining & improving testing environments
· Maintaining CI/CD platforms
· Managing the procedures around software releases to production
· Attending daily calls with developers/traders to keep up to date with production issues
· Maintaining application documentation
Profile required
Technical Skills
· Familiar with windows
· Familiar with programming/scripting and automating processes
· Familiar with networking concepts
· Knowledge of CI/CD platforms is a plus
· Python and PowerShell knowledge is a plus
· Relational database knowledge is a plus
· Experience working with distributed systems is a plus
· Computer science graduate preferred - Minimum 2:1
Functional Knowledge
· No financial knowledge is necessary but some knowledge on financial markets, specifically FX products, would be a plus.
Spoken Languages
· Fluent English (spoken and written) is mandatory
· Spoken French is a plus
