V.I.E. Assistant Middle Office Cash Management
Responsibilities

As Assistant Middle Officer Cash Management you will support the GTB/Payments & Cash Management team in Country in any Middle Office Activity with Corporates and Non-Bank Financial Institutions. You will report to the Head of the GTB Middle Office.
Products and services to be marketed will include, amongst others:
- Domestic and international means of payment
- Foreign Exchange (when related to cross-border payments)
- Electronic Banking products as well as associated services
- Liquidity Management solutions like cash pooling
- Guarantees
The role requires a strong client service orientation, operational and process knowledge, knowledge of regulatory and risk processes, analytical and communication skills as well as professional integrity at all times.
He/she will be an effective team player and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Assist the Middle Office with the implementation of cash management products like Electronic Banking (Isabel, Global Cash, Swiftnet,…) and Liquidity management (Cash Pool) this in coordination with the International Corporate Desk for international implementations covering more countries and also the European Middle Office.
- Assist the Front & Middle Officers in the process of Know Your Customer and Account Opening.
- Assist the Middle Office in Risk and Compliance aspects like responding to Anti Money Laundering Requests and the reviews of KYC.
- Respond to reporting requests both external (National Bank of Belgium) and internal (Compliance/Risk Operational) linked to payments and cash management activities.
- Manage projects in order to optimise the workflow between the Front Office, the Middle Office and the European Middle Office.
- Act as back up of the other Middle Office colleagues when they are absent.

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply for a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Master's degree
- A previous experience in Banking, Cash Management, Transaction Banking would be appreciated
Language skills:
- Fluency in English (B2-C1)
- Other foreign language skills like Dutch or French would be advantageous
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Highly proficient with Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and superior analytical and quantitative skills
- Experience in Cash Management
- Pro-active team playerClient oriented work approach
- Well organized with very good attention to the detail
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Belgium is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
