Exotics Cross Asset Middle Office - Trainee
Responsibilities
Role Summary:
This role covers products including Exotic Products across Equity, Rates, Credit, FX, and Hybrid asset classes, such as Equity Linked Notes (ELN), Credit Linked Notes (CLN), share accumulators, auto-callables, and other exotic payoffs.
Primary Objectives:
- Collaboration: Close collaboration with the front office and various support functions (Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, Finance, and ITEC) is essential to:
o Ensure the accurate and timely modeling of products and transactions within our information systems.
o Establish a robust control framework to guarantee the completeness and quality of bookings, thereby minimizing operational risk.
o Coordinate with the front office and support functions to monitor and expedite the resolution of production issues.
o Advocate for the automation, simplification, and convergence of processes.
o Analyze the impacts of new products.
- Client Engagement: Handling client requests and assisting relevant teams in executing the operational aspects of all client-related tasks is crucial.
o Provide Day-to-day support for Client Service activities and strengthen long term client relationship.
o Contributing to the generation of relevant reports concerning the products clients have subscribed to with Société Générale is expected.
o Managing any escalation requests from clients, including information requests, claims, and complaints.
- Procedural Documentation: Responsibility for documenting and updating procedures related to sensitive processes and controls is required.
Your Key Contributions (Responsibilities):
- Follow-up and set-up of action plans whenever necessary to solve operational issues.
- Timely respond to incidents and contribute to develop long-term action plans.
- Take in charge any escalation request (information request, claims, complaint etc.) from our clients, with the priority on Tier1 clients and make prompt escalations internally.
- Ensure integrity of internal controls of operational activities.
- Participate to client change request process, defining the appropriate methodology and ensure deliveries are made on time, help in producing relevant KPI.
- Engage and act as an intermediary between salesperson, back-office, and any other SG service (e.g., Compliance, Legal and Risk Department) in issues surrounding post-trade services whenever necessary.
- Support Front Office in existing business and new business development, including coordination with internal and external parties.
- Assist Front Office in improving security, efficiency and client’s satisfaction in our internal processes while reducing operational risks.
- Actively contribute to increase operational efficiency by reviewing and improving all processes.

- Good knowledge of capital market exotics products with cross asset underlying (Equity, Commodity, FX, Rates, etc) is an advantage
- Relevant Bachelor’s or Graduate’s degree holder is preferred
- Graduates with some working experience gained from other sectors are also welcomed
- Ability to communicate effectively and interface with various internal partners (Traders, Engineers, Sales, other Middle Offices, Product Control teams, Back Offices, IT) and in different countries in Asia, Europe, America regions
- Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment
- Knowledge of Python or VBA programming is an advantage
- Proactivity in contributing to the change process and adapting to new constraints

- Willing to work 5 days per week.
