Senior Regulatory and Tax Risk Analyst – M/F/D
Responsibilities
As a Regulatory and Tax Risk Analyst within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), you will join Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO).
You will be a part of a dynamic and supportive team responsible for managing operational tax matters arising from existing and future tax regulations. Your role will contribute to ensuring regulatory compliance across a range of financial products and markets.
Your future scope of responsibility will cover:
- Being a part of a dynamic team in charge of all tax operational matters (FATCA, CRS, 871m, the French and Italian Financial Transaction Tax).
- Handling of tax reclaim files.
- Managing tax rules with different corporate actions events.
- Following account certification linked to tax rules.
- Reconciliation of IRS transaction notifications with data in booking applications.
- Assisting with manual accounting entries on certain transactions.
- Performing weekly and end-of-month checks as part of control processes.
- Carrying out manual eligibility procedures where automated tools are insufficient.
- Supporting the Front Office team with tax-related queries and specific trade matters.
Profile required
You will be best suited for this role if:
- You have minimum 5 years of experience in a similar operational or financial role.
- You have an academic degree (preferably in Finance, Economics, or a related field).
- You have practical knowledge and experience within financial markets, especially in tax operations area.
- You have gained experience in MS Office with particular emphasis on MS Excel.
- You can work independently as well as to coordinate the tasks and processes with other local and regional departments/teams.
- You are proficient in English (French is an asset).
- You possess high analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail in all assigned tasks.
- You can effectively prioritize given tasks and manage deadlines.
