Job Description/tasks:

1.Department Description and Responsibilities:

FIG (Financial Institution Coverage Group) department in Japan has responsibility to lead and coordinate businesses with Japanese Financial Institutions. The department is double hated between SGKK and SGTB reporting to, Head of FIG in Japan (=President of SGKK) and Head of APAC coverage.

Primary Objectives of the Team:

  • Developing high level relationship with selected clients in order to promote the whole range of Societe Generale’s capabilities. 
  • Defining SG business strategy on these customers and reviewing the transactions, resource allocation, credit risk and profitability 
  • Handle issues or matters relating to the clients including KYC

2.Job Description and Main Responsibilities / Mission:

FIG Trainee will be to support the banker’s objectives mainly documentations and internal/external communication. The candidate should be highly motivated to develop their skills and be part of the expansion of Societe Generale’s Japan FIG business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the preparation of documents (market update, peer analysis, secondary pricing performance, primary pricing indications, pitch book, and replying to clients’ requests).
  • Co-work with internal relevant teams both in Japan and overseas to make sure smooth business communication.

Profile required

Qualifications / Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Economics, Business, Finance or related disciplines
  • JSDA Class-1 Sales Representative (this can be updated upon joining)

Skills:

  • Native level in Japanese  and Business (or Native) level in English
  • Good command of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Bloomberg would be a plus
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
