About the team:

Our Debt Capital Markets platform helps client raise funds in the international Bond markets through an advisory orientated approach.

This role sits within the Ratings Advisory team within DCM focusing on the coverage of Financial Institution clients with the aim of providing integrated solutions in terms of capital structure / rating advice / debt products and promoting the bank’s services in the capital markets.

The team also advises Financial Institution clients on Credit and Non-Credit Rating (ESG) topics neutral of product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to full range of Financial Services clients with rating advice in the context of pursuing a rating, rating defence and ongoing dialogue based on S&P, Moody’s and Fitch rating methodologies (as well as other agencies)
  • Work with the front office Investment Banking Division to provide ratings expertise and advise of impact on specific deals
  • Prepare financial models to assess ratings headroom and recommend strategic actions to achieve clients’ ratings ambitions
  • Monitor developments within the ratings arena (rating actions, methodological developments), the wider financial industry (regulation, industry news) and macroeconomic developments that may impact our clients
  • Embed the Banks Environmental, Social and Governance strategy in day-to-day business and through client relationships management to create future value/generate opportunities in the future

Profile required

PROFILE REQUIRED

  • Degree in a finance related discipline
  • Strong financial analysis, modelling and risk assessment skills
  • Experience working in a related field (Rating Agency, DCM, Corporate Finance)
  • Experience working with / analysing Financial Institutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships both internally and externally (with clients)
  • Additional European language skills are a benefit
