V.I.E. Operational and IT Risk Officer
Responsibilities
Join Société Générale Luxembourg! You'll be working in Operations and IT Risk Monitoring
As a VIE, you will assist both the Operationnal Risk Manager and IT Risk Manager.
You will discover a bank with multiple activities: Investment Banking, Private Banking, Corporate Banking, Issuing Banking and Investor Services.
Responsibilities :
- Collect and monitor operational and IT incidents : challenge the root causes and the action plans, report incidents within tools, summarise them for SG Lux management
- Ensure deployment of measures and action plans to reduce operational risk and prevent any future incident occurence
- Set up and improve the Bank's IT risk management reporting
- Carry out quality checks of the controls performed by departments
- Develop the permanent supervision with process modifications and requirements
- Assit the OPS and IT managers in the assessment of their risks and mitigating measures put in place to reduce them
- Bring your help and support to other members teams in their day-to-day activities by, for instance, collecting information, establishing statistics and drafting meeting supports

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in finance or accounting
- A previous experience in a finance, risk or audit department; Experience in the banking sector would be appreciated
Language skills:
- Fluent in English
Technical, operational & soft skills:
- You have excellent synthesis and writing skills,
- You have a perfect command of the pack Office.
- You are interested and have skills in everything to do with IT
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Luxembourg is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
