Société Générale’s Inspection and Group Audit Division (IGAD) is looking for a motivated Trainee Cybersecurity Auditor to join our team and help us ensure the security and integrity of our information systems.

About the Role

As a Trainee Cybersecurity Auditor, you will leverage your technical expertise in cybersecurity or computer science to support local, regional, and global audit assignments focused on information systems risks. You will work alongside experienced auditors and cybersecurity specialists, gaining hands-on experience and developing your audit skills through structured on-the-job training.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in audits assessing cybersecurity controls and IT risk management across the Société Générale Group.
  • Collaborate with auditors and technical teams to identify key risks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to audit planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring clear and impactful communication of findings.
  • Support follow-up activities to ensure audit recommendations are implemented effectively.
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in all your work.

Profile required

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Previous experience in cybersecurity, IT, or computer science roles—ideally within financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills and an affinity for working with technical applications and large datasets.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio); knowledge of Python, R, or similar is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex technical issues.
  • A proactive, organised approach with strong stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
