V.I.E. Data Analyst & Developer

This VIE role is within the COO team of the Risk Management Division (RISQ). RISQ’s main mission is to contribute to develop SG Group (the Group) business and returns through the implementation of an efficient risk management process. The VIE will work for a team in charge of information system & data projects and ad-hoc requests from Risk Managers.

Responsibilties:

• Work closely with other RISQ teams to digitalize processes
• Write Python Scripts or use internal platform similar to Knime/Alteryx to automate tasks or run ad-hoc analysis
• Improve department-wide reporting & processes by finding and improving on inefficiencies
• Design Business Intelligence reports to improve risk management effectiveness (Power Bi)
• Create Web Application Prototypes using SG approved technologies (Angular/React, Bootstrap, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
• Participate in the AI Development of Societe Generale by implementing or using Machine Learning models
• Learn, build and teach new tools to improve risk management

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

• Graduate with a Master degree in Finance, Maths or Computer Science
•  A previous experience in the Finance Sector  would be appreciated

Language skills:

• Fluent in English

Technical, operational & soft skills:

• Good communication and presentation skills
  
• Proficient/Good command of Python and Database

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Montreal is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.

In case a Visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
