- You will be part of a dynamic Global Devlopment team, with the following responsibilities:
Software Development:
- Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of software applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or C#.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement features that meet business requirements.
System Support:
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in performance tuning and optimization of applications.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, product managers, and traders, to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Learning & Development:
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in financial technology.
- Complete assigned training modules and certifications to enhance technical and domain expertise.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and test plans.

The Trainee role is a full time 24-month contract with Societe Generale where you will have access to a diverse range of training materials to help you succeed, covering various aspects of businesses, including but not limited to technical skills, leadership development, communication skills, client service and relationship management. To be eligible, please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of Trainee contract.
Profile required
- Software Engineer
- Business analysis skills: analytical mindset, attention to details, critical thinking, solution oriented
- Good knowledge on programming languages ( JAVA OR Python)
- Adaptable, can work with various people style and cultures as being exposed to several different countries.
- Eager to learn in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Exposure to any Financial Product is preferred.
- Understanding of Software Development lifecycles and Agile methodology is preferred.
- Versed into Data Quality Management and operational risk processing.
- Quick learner
- Self-motivated, mature, and possessing a strong drive for excellence

Global Banking Technology & Operations is GBIS Service Unit, it delivers day-to-day services to GBIS BUs and their clients to accelerate the transformation, it is composed by IT & non-IT teams working side by side under the same leadership.
XRM within GBTO responsible for producing and support Economic P&L, Market Risk (Stress Test & VaR) and Counterparty Risk.
