Responsibilities

Data Platform team at ayvens looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join the team. This role involves working with a high-performing team of Data , analytics and support engineers alongside with Data Architects and Analysts. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining critical data infrastructure of the organization using a wide variety of Modern data tools and technologies.

Profile required

  • 4+ years of experience in software development.
  • Expertise in Python and SQL. 
  • Experience with Airflow, Spark, Databricks/Snowflake, Git must have.
  • Understanding of “Modern” data management, e.g. datalake/lakehouse/warehouses/vault.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms, cloud services, cloud-based databases, and cloud security (preferably AWS/Azure).
  • Ability to resolve complex problems and errors in processes and applications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Critical Data infrastructure.
  • Contribute to key data pipelines Design decisions and lead the implementation of major initiatives.
  • Build tools for effective maintenance and monitoring of the data infrastructure.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop scalable and performant solutions for their data requirements, including extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a range of data sources.
  • Develop the team’s data capabilities by sharing knowledge, enforcing best practices, reviewing Peer codes and encouraging data-driven decisions.
  • Develop data retention policies, backup strategies, and ensure that the organisation data is highly secure and available.
