Investment Banking Analyst - Y1 - Asset Backed Securities
Responsibilities
An opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team within the Global Banking & Advisory division at Société Generale. As an Asset Backed Securities (ABS) Analyst, you will play an integral role in supporting the structuring, execution, and marketing of securitizations across a wide range of asset classes including auto loans, leases, equipment, consumer loans, and esoteric asset classes such as aviation lease, data centers, and more. You will work closely with senior team members and other internal teams to deliver high-impact financing and capital markets solutions for both corporate and financial institution clients.
In addition to the responsibilities typically expected of an Analyst, the successful candidate will be expected to:
- Support execution of primary market ABS transactions
- Assist in preparing marketing materials and investor presentations for securitization transactions
- Assist in preparing rating agency materials and addressing credit rating criteria across multiple asset classes
- Contribute to client pitches and strategic discussions impacting ABS markets and provide relevant insights to current and prospective clients
- Coordinate across internal groups including syndicate, sales & trading, legal, compliance, and risk management to ensure seamless transaction execution
- Participate in investor calls, roadshows, and working group meetings, providing analytical support as needed
- Maintain internal databases and transaction trackers, ensuring accuracy and consistency of deal and market data
- Perform sector and deal-specific research to identify opportunities for new mandates and deepen client relationships
- Meeting timely execution of requests from banking team, clients, and others
- Demonstrating ability to willingly take direction from banking team, immediate supervisors and others and to respond appropriately

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a foundational understanding of structured finance and securitization principles
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines
- Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across structuring, syndicate, sales & trading, and legal
- Proactive problem-solving abilities
- Hard-working with a willingness to learn
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proficiency and technical skill in using Excel and Bloomberg
- SIE, Series 79 & 63 certifications preferred. If not already obtained, must complete within five months of hire
Must Have:
- General/Technical Skills: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, Finsight, Intex, or other securitization platforms is a plus
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field
- Language(s): English
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience or internship in investment banking, structured finance, or financial services with exposure to securitized products

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
