Global Transaction Banking Sales
Responsibilities
The successful incumbent is expected to develop and grow Global Transaction Banking (Trade Services, Supply Chain Finance, Payments & Cash Management) revenues from corporate clients in Singapore and rest of South East Asia in line with overall strategy of the bank. Primary responsibilities will be on Trade Services for Corporates.
Key responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to:
- All round experience in Transaction banking with both Trade Finance and Cash Management
- Ability to collaborate well with internal stakeholders, self-starter and an eye for detail with proven ability to learn and adapt to changes
- Participate in the elaboration of Global Transaction Banking Asia strategy and translate this strategy into concrete actions axis for South East Asia to achieve targets
- Managing and developing a portfolio of corporate clients (a mix of Large Local Corporates and Multinational Corporates) in Singapore with potential for Trade & Supply Chain Finance solutions and cash management, collaborating with SG’s corporate coverage teams as well as relying on his /her own experience
- Providing trade advisory and service support to clients to facilitate trade & supply chain finance business with clients in Singapore
- Promoting cross-border synergies with other regions to enhance revenues from GTB business globally
- Identifying opportunities for cross-selling products and services of other business lines of the SG Group to clients
Profile required
- Strong experience in banking, with at least 5 years of experience in trade and 3 – 5 years in client-facing roles. Previous experience in trade finance is a must Expertise on business
- Professional experience in trade finance and cash management business in Singapore
- Direct sales relationships with clients
- Deep knowledge on products / market conditions / competition in Singapore
- Knowledge, contacts of Singapore/SEA Corporates and Singapore/SEA Based MNCs,
- Capacity to conduct efficient meetings with clients / target clients to present capabilities of Société Générale’s Trade Finance business and to understand clients’ needs in order to propose adequate solutions
- Sensitivity on risk issues (credit risk, operational risks, regulatory and legal risks, compliance risk, etc) - Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong ability to build up relationships to facilitate teamwork with other departments/business lines and internal stakeholders on transversal issues
- Willingness to help develop the business in the region and by enabling new products/solutions locally
