TRAINEE: Corporate Client Coverage
Responsibilities
1st year:
- To build solid understanding on SG's operations in Asia Pacific region, integrate and adopt SG's Culture and Conduct, master SG internal tools and strictly follow SG internal policy and procedures.
- To support and work closely with Corporate Banking Relationship Managers (RMs) on pitch books, deal/transaction pipelines, deal closing/executions and preparation for client meetings.
- To conduct research/analysis and prepare documentations and reports (such as company profile, briefing notes, presentations and call reports etc.)
- To assist on client KYC reviews and assessment.
2nd year:
- To be able to work independently and address and solve simple client enquiries.
- To assist RMs to draft credit application and complete transaction checklist and other loan documents by working with relevant internal stakeholders, e.g. RISQ officers, Credit Portfolio Managers, ESG experts, and Compliance officers etc.
- To perform basic financial spreading for credit rating purposes.
Candidates with outstanding performance will be considered for early conversion to permanent roles.

The Trainee role is a full time 24-month contract with Societe Generale where you will have access to a diverse range of training materials to help you succeed, covering various aspects of businesses, including but not limited to technical skills, leadership development, communication skills, client service and relationship management. To be eligible, please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of Trainee contract.
Profile required
- Bachelor’s or Graduate’s degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or other relevant fields.
- Graduates with some working experience gained from Banking and Finance would be preferred.
- Strong Communication skills with open mindset, capable of working under pressure and urgent deadlines in a fast-paced environment, result and solution oriented with accountability and responsibility, team spirit and appreciate collective thinking.
- Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to details.
- Can do attitude and be curious and always willing to learn; Diligent and have risk awareness; Respect and follow relevant internal rules and regulations.
- Advanced working knowledges in MS office applications.
- Mandarin and English language skills are essential; French is a plus.
