Responsibilities

Our department is a transverse data science team within Corporate and Investment Banking, dedicated to leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to drive strategic insights and innovation. Comprising skilled data scientists and machine learning engineers, we collaborate across business lines to develop scalable, data-driven solutions. Our team plays a pivotal role in transforming complex data into actionable intelligence, supporting Société Générale’s leadership in the digital transformation of banking services.

Responsibilities:

  • Streamline our CI/CD processes to enable automatic deployment of machine learning projects, including linting, testing, building Docker images, and deploying to Kubernetes clusters using GitHub Actions
  • Automate the creation of Azure resources for new projects and during upgrades of our Kubernetes clusters, utilizing Terraform or Ansible
  • Establish a monitoring and alerting system for our production environments within the clusters
  • Write and maintain clear technical documentation to enable greater team autonomy in handling technical tasks

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master’s degree from a Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Software Engineering or Computer Science

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English

Technical, operational & soft skills:

  • You possess “Ops” skills, including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible and GitActions
  • You have software engineering expertise in Python
  • You are intellectually curious, with a particular interest in technology


The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Bangalore is to begin December 1st, 2025, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
