Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Production Support Lead to coordinate and manage day-to-day production support operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in SQL/PL-SQL, understanding of file transfer protocols (SFTP/FTPS/HTTPS), and proven experience managing cross-functional teams to ensure seamless incident resolution, system stability, and operational efficiency.



Key Responsibilities

1. Production Support Leadership
• Serve as the primary coordinator for production support activities, acting as the bridge between development, infrastructure, and business teams.
• Ensure timely resolution of production incidents, service requests, and system outages.
• Lead daily status calls, track open tickets, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

2. Incident & Problem Management
• Analyze recurring issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure incidents are logged, prioritized, and resolved per SLA commitments.
• Create and maintain detailed incident reports and dashboards for leadership review.

3. Database & Technical Expertise
• Perform advanced SQL and PL/SQL queries to analyze data issues and troubleshoot production problems.
• Support database-related tasks, including data validations, performance checks, and query optimization.

4. File Transfer & Integration Support
• Manage and troubleshoot file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS) for inter-system data movement.
• Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure secure and timely data transfers.

5. Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders for production issues and updates.
• Provide regular updates on production health, ongoing incidents, and preventive initiatives.
• Prepare weekly/monthly performance and incident trend reports.

6. Continuous Improvement
• Identify process gaps, propose automation opportunities, and drive operational excellence.
• Document support processes, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.

Profile required

• Experience: 7+ years in production support or application support roles, with at least 2–3 years in a lead/coordinator capacity.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, or equivalent), transfer protocols (SFTP,PESIT/TOM, etc), schedulers (Control-M etc), ticketing tools (Unity, Jira)

• Familiarity with file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS) and related tools.
• Basic understanding of application servers, batch jobs, and integration systems.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure and meet SLAs.
• Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to issue resolution.



Preferred Skills
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace).
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change management).
• Exposure to Agile/DevOps environments.
• Knowledge of shell scripting or automation tools for production support.
