General Inspection Graduate Program 2026 - Inspector
Responsibilities
During your time within General Inspection (3 or 6 years), you will contribute to 4 to 6 months Inspection missions across the business and service units (investment banking, financial markets, retail banking, insurance, corporate departments, IT, etc.) in France and abroad:
- You will assess the relevance of the strategy decided and implemented by the business and service units, their level of risks and their processes’ efficiency.
- You will design and issue recommendations to strengthen the risk management frameworks and advise the senior management on strategic and organizational adjustments. As an inspector, you will follow‑up on these recommendations to ensure their proper implementation.
- You will present your conclusions directly to the bank’s senior management through oral debriefings and written reports that highlight your deep and robust arguments in a clear manner.
You may also contribute to Societe Generale’s strategic projects: General Inspection is involved in examining major strategic projects, at the heart of Societe Generale Group’s agenda (due diligences in France and abroad, preliminary studies for large-scale projects, major incidents etc.).
Finally, you may also work closely with a dedicated team of high-skilled data scientists and will have the opportunity to develop new skills by interacting with them on your missions and benefitting from dedicated trainings on data analysis.
Profile required
You have an engineering, business or political science background, a post-graduate qualification or an advanced master’s degree from a French or international institution. You have either just started your career, are a recent graduate, or about to graduate.
You are ready for geographical mobility and appreciate teamwork in numerous and stimulating environments. You will be in a position where your relational skills, your autonomy, your curiosity and the accuracy of your analysis will be grounds for success. Fluency in English or French is required, another language will be appreciated. If you do not speak French, a dedicated training and support will be organized.

Business insight
In the end of the 3‑year junior program, you may have the opportunity to take the lead of a mission in a first experience as head of assignment, supervising younger recruits. You may then continue your career as a senior inspector, a role that will provide you with broader management responsibilities and the lead of Inspection assignment with larger stakes and scopes.
Special attention will be given to developing your technical and managerial skills throughout your evolution in the program, via a comprehensive training course developed specifically for General Inspection.
In 2025, the starting compensation was of 55 kEUR, excluding bonus and other variable items such as travelling indemnities. This compensation is subject to significant increases all along the Inspection course.
Position based in Paris – La Défense (with the possibility of partially working remotely) with frequent long‑stay missions abroad.
