Middle Office Specialist - Repo Desk Support
Responsibilities
SG leverages its extensive experience in the Fixed Income and Equities markets, along with its robust structuring capabilities, to create a distinctive product offering for clients and investors. SG is actively engaged in various trading activities with institutional counterparts across a diverse range of products, from vanilla options to highly intricate exotic structures.
The TSU positions play a crucial role within the Middle Office Team, enhancing the efficiency and processing capabilities of the group to support the Front Office business line. The Middle Office Trade Support team will manage the activities of various desks, including Money Markets, Repo Financing, Municipals, U.S. Government securities, Corporate Bonds, Global Foreign Exchange, and Interest Rate and Credit Derivative Products.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing direct support to multiple Repo desks, including US Treasury, Corporate, and Emerging Market Bonds, as well as DCS in New York.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deal Capture: Implement controls to ensure that executed trades are booked accurately and in a timely manner
• Trade Input/Modifications/Cancellations: Manage the input, modification, and cancellation of trades
• TriParty Deal Allocations: Oversee the allocation of TriParty deals
• Corporate Action Monitoring/Booking: Monitor and book corporate actions as needed
• Process Consistency: Ensure alignment of processes with global TSU counterparts
• Trade Break Resolution: Address discrepancies between Front Office and Back Office trades
• Procedure Manual Maintenance: Keep all procedure manuals current and up to date
• Audit and Inspection Support: Respond to requests from audit and inspection teams
• Static Data Maintenance: Ensure accurate maintenance of static data
• Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between the Front Office, Back Office, Product Control Group, and global Technology teams
• System Testing: Test system upgrades and enhancements
• Ad Hoc Support: Provide assistance to traders and sales personnel as needed
• STP Process Monitoring: Monitor Straight-Through Processing (STP) to ensure timely trade flow to Back Office systems
• Fail Investigation: Collaborate with the Back Office to investigate and resolve fails, DKs, and trade breaks
Profile required
Technical Skills:
• Familiarity with Fixed Income products, including US Treasuries, Agencies, Corporate Bonds, and Asset-Backed Securities
• Proficient in Excel
• Experience in process improvement
Knowledge of:
• TriParty Repo
• Bilateral Repo trade lifecycle and settlement
• BONY AccessEdge
• Settlement processes for FED, DTC, and Euroclear
• GSCC/FICC netting
• Equilend

Qualifications:
Experience Needed: minimum 1-3 years experience in Fixed Income Repo
Desired / Plus: • Familiar with Regulatory obligations
Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, or Economics or equivalent

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.
