Responsibilities

The SGAS Regulatory Reporting Department is responsible for the local regulatory reporting requirements of the broker dealer which entails filing daily/monthly/bi-weekly, quarterly and annual reports with the SEC, FINRA, CFTC, and CME. Additionally, the team provides support and regulatory guidance to front office, new business projects, and internal projects.  As an active futures commission merchant, SGAS has many reporting responsibilities and daily tracking to ensure the firm stays in compliance with the rule requirements.   The team will have regular interactions with the regulators and is subject to annual exams from both the commodity and securities regulators.  Additionally the team is audited by PWC in connection with annual audit requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily SEA Rule 15c3-1 Net Capital Computations                 
  • Weekly SEA Rule 15c3-3 Customer and PAB Reserve Computations                 
  • Monthly FOCUS reporting responsibilities                 
  • Control review and documentation                 
  • Audit requests in conjunction with regulatory exams and PWC engagement

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance or Accounting

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English

Operational, technical & soft skills:

  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong desire to learn

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in New York is to begin November 1st, 2025, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
