Responsibilities

Are you creative and passionate about communications? Join our diverse and dynamic Communications team in Hong Kong.

As an Internal and Digital Communication Trainee, you will:

·       Assist in the creation, editing, and publishing of content on the corporate website, intranet platforms, and other internal communication channels, including articles, email broadcasts, appointment announcements, newsletters, event invitations, digital signage, and more.

·       Create and design digital assets—including graphics, banners, and videos—for internal communications such as the intranet and internal newsletters, as well as for external channels including social media and the corporate website.

·       Support and participate in organising staff engagement initiatives, including internal events.

·       Execute communication campaigns on assigned topics and projects, with a focus on Diversity and Inclusion and HR-related topics.

·       Provide assistance on other communications projects as needed.

·       Manage the team’s expense tracking and reporting.

Our Expectation:

·       Learn to use various applications and digital tools, such as CMS, social media, graphic and video editing tools, internal communication system, and expense management tool.

·       Understand and ensure that all the communication materials adhere to brand guidelines and internal policies.

·       Assist in publishing and updating website and intranet content accurately and in a timely manner.

·       Proactively identify and suggest content improvements or new content ideas.

·       Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and internal policies.

·       Manage end-to-end content updates independently.

The Trainee role is a full time 24-month contract with Societe Generale where you will have access to a diverse range of training materials to help you succeed, covering various aspects of businesses, including but not limited to technical skills, leadership development, communication skills, client service and relationship management. To be eligible, please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of Trainee contract.

Profile required

·       Hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.

·       Demonstrate strong writing and content development skills.

·       Be creative, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy.

·       Be flexible and enjoy working in a multicultural environment.

·       Show a willingness to learn and grow within Communications and the financial industry.

·       Be proficient with digital tools or a fast learner eager to master them.

·       Fluency in English is mandatory.

Department Description

The Communication department of Societe Generale in Asia Pacific is responsible for defining and implementing the communication strategy that supports the Bank’s identity, strategy, and objectives across the region. This includes alignment with the wholesale banking business roadmap, primarily within Corporate & Investment Banking (Global Markets, Global Banking & Advisory, Global Transaction Banking), and adherence to the guidelines set by the Group’s Communication division.

The department is composed of teams based in Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Japan, and Singapore (covering Southeast Asia). It is structured around communication leads who support key focus areas such as Corporate Identity & Commitments, Business Strategy & Expertise, Data & Innovation, and Employer Brand. The department also brings together expertise across all channels of the marketing and communication mix, spanning owned, earned, and paid media.
