Responsibilities
Project Description:
Post-execution administration of master agreement documentation for OTCs, including but not limited to: ISDA Master Agreements (and auxiliary documents), Credit Support Annex, GMRAs, MRAs, GMLSAs, MSLAs, MSFTAs, TOBs, Prime Brokerage documentation, compensation agreements based on German and English law and drafted in: German and English.
The particularities of the position:
• Legal qualification and knowledge (not necessarily experience in German law, but in that case willingness to acquire basic knowledge of German law) .
• Experience in banking industry OR knowledge of financial products and banking regulation OR willingness to quickly acquire such knowledge
• Basic computer literacy (data processing, MS Office) and willingness to do technical work (data processing) using SG internal IT applications
• Good communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Specifically, you will be required to:
• Review and analysis of constitutional documents to determine the capacity and authority to engage in products subject to derivative financial instruments;
• Liaises with counterparts and various other internal stakeholders to ensure progress of files;
• Follow-up of the activity both internally and with its counterparts to gather comments, information, review feedback to finally have complete agreements;
• Organizing the execution of concluded contracts and sending them for signature to the contracting parties;
• Follow-up of the activity to ensure the completion and closure of files;
• Other ad-hoc projects arising from the legal / regulatory reform;
• Updating internal tools, trackers or files, systems with document or status data.
Profile required
• Bachelor's degree in the Law;
• Fluent in ENGLISH - mandatory;
• Good knowledge of the GERMAN language, not necessarily fluent;
• Knowledge of French language – not mandatory, but nice to have;
• Proven basic knowledge / understanding of banking and finance AND / OR work experience in banking industry;
• Work experience in a job where similar technical skills are required as for this role (ideally, but not necessarily in a similar role combining legal and technical skills in the financial industry);
• Orientation to details
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook);
• Very good written and verbal communication.
