Responsibilities
Société Générale is a global leader in quantitative research and quantitative investment strategies (QIS). We are seeking a Vice President to join our award-winning Quantitative Research team based in New York. This role focuses on researching and developing cross-asset and multi-asset systematic strategies.
The position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate extensively across various business functions, including sales, engineering, and trading. Additionally, a key component of the role involves engaging with and presenting to our institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and research of cross-asset and multi-asset systematic strategies within the Société Générale Quantitative Research Group.
• Collaborate closely with the global quantitative and broader research teams to produce high-quality quantitative research.
• Support the marketing efforts in North America for cross-asset strategies, with a strong emphasis on derivative-based products.

DIVISION DESCRIPTION:
Within Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, the Global Markets Division brings together the Research, Investment and Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Clearing, Prime Services, Equities, Fixed Income, Futures and Currencies & Commodities structuring capabilities with the objective of providing investors with one integrated multi-asset market solutions team. The business uses an advisory and innovation mindset, focused on client needs, with a global leader in financial markets engineering. Global Markets is a leading player in derivatives, with unrivaled over the counter and listed derivatives expertise, as well as cross-asset and economic research. Our prime services' offering is a unique combination of execution, clearing, custody and financing services.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong mathematical background, demonstrated through undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
• Experience in portfolio construction, analyzing client holdings and recommending enhancements to improve efficiency, diversification and performance.
• Technical expertise in at least one financial asset class, including experience with nonlinear instruments, preferably in a term structure-based asset class.
• Proficiency in Python programming and a solid understanding of financial market data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
