Responsibilities

Société Générale S.A. Warsaw Branch is currently looking for an Operational Risk Manager. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity to further grow your career, we encourage you to apply for this exciting role. This a transversal role covering all business and service unites operating in the branch, requiring coordination and cooperation with local and global teams covering elements of operational risk area within matrix structure.

The key responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:

  • Functional reporting to CORO EMEA on ORM related topics and acting in accordance with his recommendations and in accordance with RISQ methodologies defined for operational risk area.

  • Collection and reporting of operational incidents and related action plans.

  • Performance of RCSA exercise for SG Warsaw and presentation of results.

  • Monitoring of execution of LOD2 and LOD3 findings.

  • Monitoring of permanent control execution.

  • Design/consultation of local Permanent Supervision controls.

  • Organization of Regulatory Reporting Committee and administration of module containing reports.

  • Preparation of Operational Risk Committee and ICCC.

  • Role of local Business Continuity Coordinator – coordination of local documentation update, assistance to define Business Impact Analysis for each team including yearly validation campaign; tests planning and organization; Data Recovery Center

  • Role of Outsourcing Correspondent for agreements signed by the Branch.

  • Monitoring of KPI related to exceptional access rights granting, PS, recommendations, data leakage.

  • Validation of privileges related to IT security area.

Profile required

  • You hold a university degree in economics or a related field.

  • You have 3+ years of experience in operational risk, internal audit, or another department responsible for controlling operational processes.

  • You possess knowledge of risk management solutions in the investment banking sector and supervisory regulations related to operational risk.

  • You are fluent in both Polish and English.

  • You demonstrate strong analytical skills.

  • You are proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.

  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • You are well-organized, proactive, and driven to improve efficiency and minimize risks in company processes.

  • You are capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

  • You feel comfortable working under time pressure.
