Equity Hybrid Trader, Global Markets
Responsibilities
Primary Objectives:
-Member of the Hybrid team which cover funds / hybrid products / Variable Annuities (GmxB) / SGI & QIS / Structured Financing cross asset.
-The candidate will work as an exotic trader with a focus on insurance products (such as, but not limited to, variable annuity, fixed annuity reinsurance), FIA and QIS Strategies, Hybrids & Funds derivatives.
-S/He will be working extensively with the sales and engineering teams to develop product offering that suits Clients’ needs and enhanced hedge approaches.
-S/He will monitor closely market risks and actively hedge positions in a sound manner, and protect, monitor and report on the book value
-Level of operational risk factor: HIGH
-Level of job sensitivity: HIGH
Major Accountabilities/Principal Responsibilities:
- Executes customer trades in accordance with established trading and hedging strategies.
- Provide a Client driven service together with sales and engineers
- Work with GBSU to upgrade systems and design future developments.
- Highlight and report risk to management in a diligent and rigorous manner.
- Be able to back up any other traders within the team.
- Understanding of derivative theories and Models
- Knowledge of Asian financial markets and worldwide
- Being able to work efficiently in a team and share knowledge with other teams.
- Experience in managing derivatives books and understand associated risks.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Profile required
Key Skill Areas, knowledge and qualification Required:
Technical skills:
-Knowledge of cross asset financing products : repo, stock lending of borrowing and cross currency across bonds and equities
-Understanding of SGI indexes and vol target mechanism. Abilities to provide hedging strategies to cover gap risq
-Knowledge of the QIS framework, leveraged gap risk and optionality
-Knowledge of the reinsurance business (GMxB). Understanding of actuarial risks (namely lapse and mortality) and various variation of the payoff (Fixed/Variable Annuities, Fixed Index annuities etc…).

-Understand market dynamics and is able to offer suitable products to our clients
-Manage the book in a sound manner, is aware of the market risk and counterparty risk framework
-Respect of internal procedure and external regulation
-Operate the trading operations in a compliance manner
-Aware of the culture and conducts principles
