Responsibilities

The BMO team within the Capital Markets division (MARK) at SGAS is a strategic group that facilitates the business operations of various Trading and Sales desks. The BMO/SLS team supports the Sales teams within MARK. It aids in the day to day operations and is the liaison between the FO and GBSU, LEGL, CPL, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Support MARK BMO on Sales related topics:
  • Operations: Assist on any daily operational issues that arises impacting sales.
  • Governance & Strategy: Assist in organizing various Executive committees. Be the driving force behind key transversale sales initiatives.
  • Data analytics & reporting: support MARK commercial development by setting and enhancing Sales & Client performance KPIs and profitability metrics, designing digital dashboards and producing management reports. Become a data expert around our critical metrics (P&L, Sales credit, Budgets)
  • Transformation & efficiency: help identify processes and propose automation ideas. Use our low-code/no-code platforms to bring those ideas to life (Python is a big plus, Front-end frameworks knowledge such as React is also a plus)
  • Ensure appropriate communication to Business Lines of all relevant issues, policy changes, etc.

Please note that it is mandatory to provide us a formal proof of your M2 diploma validation at least 2 weeks before the assignment start. No VIE mission will start without this document. *Grade sheets are not accepted as justification of diploma.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance or Engineering
  • A previous experience in Finance would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English

Operational, technical & soft skills:

  • Proficient communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient analytical skills and ability to summarize key messages
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)  
  • Eager to learn and can adapt to fast-paced work environment
  • Proficient in VBA/Macro, Python, or SQL is a plus
  • Knowledge of APIs and how to consume data
  • Creative and innovative

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in New York is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
