V.I.E. Sales/Marketing Cross Asset Solutions

The structuring capabilities, cross-asset market reach and ESG focus of Société Générale global markets division have been systematically recognized by the industry over the past decades.

This position within the product marketing team is fully integrated with the local sales force and offers a unique perspective in supporting sales on their commercial activity. This position is at the crossroads of many different business lines and serves as a link between sales teams, financial engineers, legal, compliance, communication, and the clients. It includes contact with other locations (trading, engineering and product marketing teams worldwide).                      

Responsibilities:                                                                                                    

• Supporting the sales team with regular trade ideas and product pushes (including product pricing and research summary)
• Supporting the sales team with trades
• Directly participating in the commercial effort by developing/enhancing digital tools to improve sales communication/marketing to clients
• Designing, developing and producing detailed commercial presentations and other marketing materials – including product backtesting – for all of the main clients (commercial and private banks, life insurance companies, asset managers, etc.)

Studies & experience:

• Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Business Studies, Engineering, Finance, Economics
• A previous experience in the financial services industry with an emphasis in product development and marketing of financial products

Language skills:

• Fluent in English
• Advanced in Italian is a strong plus
• French is another plus

Operational, technical & soft skills:

• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Strong knowledge of the Office pack (Excel, Powerpoint, Word), developer skills (VBA, html) is a plus

• Ability to manage complex and time sensitive processes dealing with multiple internal and external resources

• Analytical ability, communication, curiosity, leadership and organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Italy is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
