System Engineer - Tivoli Storage Manager
Responsibilities
Good level of knowledge in Implementation and administration on IBM TSM [Spectrum protect] server and different TDP modules, EMC Data Domain, Quantum Tape Library and providing solutions for the same
Flexibility to work in shifts for 24x7 supports
Co-ordination with multiple stake holders / Third party Vendors for break-fix.
Must be able to lead the critical outage calls.
Must have experience on tape rotation activity.
Create the Standard Operating Procedure and update the knowledge database documentation whenever required
Participate in weekly/ monthly/ customer meeting and provide activities report.
Must be continuously Intune with Market standards and should be able to provide solutions with respect to move to cloud strategy.
Knowledge around Cloud infrastructure and its backup offerings.
Good knowledge on Server Platforms.
Knowledge on performance analysis and proposals.
Experience in capacity and performance scale out management.
Excellent in documentation and training.
Profile required
Strong knowledge on Backup Technologies like
IBM TSM
EMC Data Domain [VTL]
IBM and Quantum Tape Library
NDMP Backups
- Good to have knowledge on API modelling, creation and delivery capability to provide the Backup as A Service model for consumption of the services directly by the client
