Listed Derivatives Sales Trader
Responsibilities
Société Générale is seeking an Execution Sales-Trader to join our Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETD) Sales & Trading team. The ETD team is a core part of our market-leading Prime & Clearing franchise within SocGen’s Global Markets business. A successful candidate will be responsible for building and deepening client relationships, driving execution revenues, and delivering high-quality market coverage across global futures and options. The role is based in New York City.
Primary responsibilities include:
Client Engagement & Coverage
• Develop and manage relationships with institutional clients including hedge funds, asset managers, CTAs, pension funds, insurers and proprietary trading groups
• Act as a trusted advisor and client advocate, providing differentiated market color, insights on execution strategies, liquidity trends and market structure
• Partner with clients to identify and execute opportunities across multi-asset class global futures and listed options
• Cross-sell the firm’s capabilities within Prime Services, Capital Markets, Research, and Data & Analytics
Execution & Trading
• Provide best-in-class execution across global listed derivatives, leveraging electronic, voice and hybrid execution channels to meet client needs
• Manage daily order flow and risk associated with client execution
• Collaborate with internal colleagues across sales, trading and research to identify trade opportunities, source liquidity and deliver actionable solutions to clients
Commercial Impact
• Identify and drive new revenue opportunities within the ETD execution business
• Collaborate with clearing, prime services and capital markets teams to broaden client engagement and deliver the firm
• Contribute to the design and rollout of various marketing initiatives to raise the firm’s profile in listed derivatives
Leadership & Team Contribution
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a high-performance culture
• Provide input into strategic initiatives to improve infrastructure, scalability, product offering and service
Profile required
Qualifications and Experience
• 7+ years of experience in listed derivatives sales & trading, with a proven track record of client engagement and revenue generation
• Deep knowledge of cross-asset futures & options markets, execution strategies, and competitive landscape
• Background in fixed income markets preferred.
• Strong client network across hedge funds, asset managers, and institutional investors
• Excellent commercial instincts with the ability to proactively identify and convert new business opportunities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts clearly
• Strict adherence to both regulatory and internal compliance rules and operational procedures
• Experience with Fidessa a plus
• FINRA Series 3, 7/SIE, 63 required. Series 57 a plus

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
