Responsibilities

We are seeking a seasoned Java Developer to support a targeted migration initiative within our core banking ecosystem. The mission involves transitioning key technical assets—such as databases and message brokers—from Hong Kong to Paris, as part of a strategic effort to mitigate geographical dependencies.

The core banking platform is Temenos Transact, supported by a suite of containerized microservices built with Java (Spring Boot) and deployed via Jenkins. The consultant will work closely with infrastructure, security, and development teams across Hong Kong and India to execute the migration, update configurations and code, and ensure successful deployment and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and modify Java-based microservices and configurations to support asset migration.
  • Replace dependencies on Hong Kong-hosted databases and message brokers with Paris-hosted equivalents.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate with development teams in Hong Kong and India for testing and deployment.
  • Work closely with Testing Engineer to collect validation from internal teams
  • Deliver updated codebase and comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Support deployment activities in collaboration with internal teams.
     

Profile required

  • Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for microservices development.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, message brokers, and containerized environments.
  • Exposure to Python for DevOps or infrastructure automation is beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently on goal-driven projects with clear deliverables.
  • Pro-active, strong sense of ownership and autonomy, able to take relevant initiatives
    Working Conditions
  • Consultant is expected to be on-site in our Hong Kong office for the duration of the mission.
  • Collaboration with remote teams in India and Paris will be required.
  • All work will be conducted in English.
