As part of the GBTO/MAR/RGO Production team, the role focuses on enforcing and improving regulatory reporting and tax-related production processes across the Asia-Pacific region. Key responsibilities include:
Governance and Monitoring
- Act as a control tower to oversee regional production processes, ensuring robust governance frameworks, implementation of KPIs/KRIs, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Lead governance meetings to address production performance, risks, incidents, new products impacts, change the bank impacts, and regulatory changes.
Process Improvement and Compliance
- Review and enhance existing processes for both regulatory reporting and tax production, proposing and implementing remediation actions and solutions.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks, including adherence to reporting golden rules, and deliver transversal regulatory and tax compliance topics within required timelines.
Incident and Issue Management
- Define and implement action plans for regulatory and tax-related incidents, collaborating with local teams and escalating issues or decisions to management as needed.
Regulatory Impact and Change Management
- Conduct impact assessments for regulatory changes, perform gap analyses, and coordinate feasibility studies to propose solutions for systems, organization, and processes.
- Oversee outsourced and offshored production and ensure readiness for new regulatory requirements.
Production Oversight
- Ensure timely, accurate, and complete production of regulatory reports (e.g., HKMA periodic reports/surveys) and tax reports (e.g., FATCA and CRS reporting, post-trade monitoring).
- Coordinate business requirements and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system and process changes.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain key working documents and deliverables, and provide dashboards and indicators to monitor production perimeters for both regulatory reporting and tax processes.
Knowledge Development
- Build expertise in regulatory and tax frameworks across countries/jurisdictions within the region, staying updated on reforms and ensuring compliance.
