Corporate Actions Senior Business Analyst
Responsibilities
Deliver Comprehensive Business Analysis
- Identify and document problems, opportunities, and solutions in a structured manner.
- Produce high-quality artifacts (BRDs, user stories, process flows) with attention to detail and adherence to Agile methodologies.
Drive Enhancements and Collaborate with Development Teams
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
- Partner with developers to implement enhancement requests, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards.
- Manages activities of different IT contributors within the project respecting constraints of scope, quality, time and costs, in order to deliver specified requirements.
Design and Optimize Testing Scenarios
- Develop new test cases and improve existing ones to enhance efficiency and coverage.
- Validate solutions against business requirements and ensure robust quality assurance.
Analyze and Resolve User Requests
- Perform detailed functional analysis of user queries and issues.
- Deliver accurate, efficient resolutions while maintaining transparency and clear communication with stakeholders.
Provide Functional Support for Business-Critical Activities
- Ensure smooth execution of production processes related to Feature development, User process implementation and Acceptance testing by offering timely functional expertise and troubleshooting.
- Ensures that procedures, manuals and documentation for application are updated, as well as aligned with the latest functional and application architectures.
Optimize Business Processes
- Continuously review and refine workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Engage stakeholders to ensure solutions meet expectations and deliver measurable value.
Anticipates change management process
- Helps users prioritize and make decisions based on risks, stakes and expected outcomes.
- Perform impact assessment, user communication and training, launch, implementation.
Collaborates with User community and stakeholders
- Work with application team, IT security managers, project managers, business managers and Architects in assigned project.
- Collaborates with end users to ensure functional, operational, technical compatibility and satisfaction of user requests according to requirement initially expressed and validated by the internal client
Profile required
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in insurance / banks / financial services / back-office processing, in relevant positions, as business analyst, systems analyst, system tester, project manager or business consultant.
- Experience in modeling and optimizing business processes and translating them into functional specifications.
- Experience in understanding and interpreting business processes, formalized in diagrams using Microsoft Visio or other process modeling and representation tools.
- Practical knowledge of business analysis and business optimization - CBAP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma.
- Languages: English is mandatory. French would be a plus
- Experience on IT or banking projects, will be much appreciated and valued.
- Practical knowledge of project management, project methodologies, PMI, PRINCE2, AGILE, are considered a plus.
- Experience in identifying and executing test strategies, test plan and functional test cases. Experience in preparing and conducting functional reviews and training sessions.
- Hands-on skills required on writing SQL queries, handling API/Swaggers, opening/reading XML files.

Department Description
As part of IT department within Global Banking Technology & Operations group, the financing team oversees development and support of applications used by Equity Prime Brokerage, and Security finance traders, sales, and operations staff. The team is composed of 10 developers and application support analysts, all based in Hong Kong. The team is seated within the dealing room and interact with Front Office and Middle Office staff on regular basis.
The team is part of a wider global “community” of technology and Operations personnel spread across different SG premises. The community is focused on business lines and capable of transitioning from one application to another based on project and business needs. The “fungible” model provides much needed flexibility to operate in complex environment by leveraging similar tooling’s and technology platforms that are based on modern cloud-based technologies.
