V.I.E. Business Data Analyst
Responsibilities
Société Générale’s Client Lifecycle and Digital Group (CLD) acts as a transversal client group for all B2B clients and is in charge of operations and IT associated with the full Client Lifecycle including onboarding, reviews and offboarding. Our mandate is to enforce client intelligence on wholesale clients, by developing our broad client knowledge (referential, KYC, regulatory data, etc). This relationship is rooted in a simplified, differentiated experience for our clients and employees, and in the assurance of a permanent commitment over the client’s entire lifecycle and interactions with our department.
CLD is responsible for implementing and assuring consistent application of SG’s local and global KYC Policies and procedures, FATCA and any other regulatory requirements associated with on-boarding a new client and performing annual periodic reviews of existing clients. Specifically, the CLD department is charged with reviewing all new client requests and determining the required documentation to fulfill regulatory and SG’s requirements.
During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities :
Interacting closely with CLD executive managers and staff, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and other SG functions as needed
- Preparing relevant presentations and reports for multiple KYC and Executive Committees on a weekly and monthly basis
Managing various ad-hoc topics for the CLD team including monthly time tracking, dashboard metrics, and HR stats
Submitting monthly and quarterly metric results into SG's reporting platform
Performing monthly look back cost analyses on staff production
- Assisting the Chief of Staff with the annual budget process
- Bringing his or her knowledge to the local studies and projects of processes optimization and/or implementation of new activities
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Performing monthly controls and reconciliations on SG Americas customer population
- Performing in-depth root-cause analysis on anomalies
- Escalating anomalies identified in the customer population and referential systems
- Ensuring timely resolution of anomalies identified
- Ensuring changes to the customer population are monitored and have adequate management approval
- Reviewing monthly controls from other regions that impact Americas population and present to management clear and concise conclusion for local approval
- Maintaining strong working relationship with CLD/KYC production team, the business lines and Compliance
Bringing his or her knowledge to the local studies and projects of processes optimization and/or implementation of new products or activities

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business School or University
- A previous 1-2 year experience in a similar position would be appreciated
- Previous experience in process improvement or project management is a plus
Language skills:
Fluent in English
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Canada is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.
