Business Operations Officer - M/F/D
Responsibilities
As part of the Global Banking & Advisory (GLBA) COO Office, you will play a key role in connecting our Front Office, Risk teams, and Central Functions to ensure seamless execution of our regulatory, operational, and strategic priorities.
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized professional who can confidently navigate complex regulatory topics, maintain data accuracy, and provide strong operational support to help our Business Lines perform effectively. This role requires someone able to work with a high level of independence, juggle several priorities, and consistently deliver high‑quality and precise outcomes.
Candidates with experience in banking, financial institutions, consulting, or other complex, project‑driven organizations are encouraged to apply. Broader experience in project or program management, operational oversight, or financial processes will be a strong advantage.
Your future scope of responsibility will cover:
Credit Risk Management & Operational Risk Management
o Generate regular risk reports and declarations for global business lines
o Monitor market trends and provide data-driven insights to support client and deal analysis
o Execute internal controls and manage action plans to mitigate operational risks
o Lead training sessions for staff on compliance, data quality, and risk management
o Resolve client-specific issues, including payment delays and claims
o Manage credit approval delegations and identify key risk-taking personnel
o Ensure the accuracy of risk parameters and transaction ratings
o Coordinate regulatory updates, desk mandate reviews, and KYC (Know Your Customer) campaigns
Data Quality
o Maintain high data standards across banking tools to ensure accurate and reliable risk indicators
o Resolve data discrepancies in collaboration with other business and support units
o Operational support to onshore COOs and Front Office
o Manage operational incidents and implement long-term remediation plans
o Oversee vendor and data provider relationships, ensuring budget and contract compliance
o Supervise the production of mandatory regulatory reports
o Assist Front Office teams with internal platforms and transaction processes
Cost Monitoring
o Support Business Line COOs with cost controlling and invoice management
o Track business expenses against budget forecasts and financial guidelines
Administrative tasks
o Manage HR-related administration, including training coordination and internal billing
o Oversee system access and security certifications for deal teams and Front Office staff
Profile required
Experience & Background
Professional experience in banking, financial institutions, consulting, or other complex and regulated organizations
Strong exposure to project or program management, operational oversight, or financial processes is highly preferred
Ability to work with a high level of independence, exercising sound judgement and ownership over assigned topics
Skills & Competencies
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle several priorities while maintaining high accuracy and quality
Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret data, identify issues, and propose solutions
Ability to navigate complex environments and work collaboratively across Front Office, Risk teams, and Central Functions
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to synthesize and present information clearly
Proactive mindset, curiosity, and readiness to take initiative in a dynamic operational context
Technical Skills
Strong command of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Experience working with operational, risk, or reporting tools is an advantage
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks or risk management concepts is a plus (but not required)
Languages
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
French is an asset
