Responsibilities

We offer an internship for a period of ideally 6 months.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Preparation of corporate counterparty credit analysis to include (but not limited to) industry dynamics, business profile, management strategy, financial position and projections, including non-standard situations e.g. weak borrower or security structure, new client, highly structured facility

  • Proposal of Corporate Counterparty Credit Ratings

  • Participation to “Watchlist” discussions and provision of recommendations in connection with clients within the portfolio

  • Review of credit applications received from overseas branches and subsidiaries seeking approval for exposure to local subsidiaries of clients of Corporate Coverage teams

  • Preparation of credit memoranda in connection with breaches/amendment of covenants, general facility amendments and excess requests

  • Liaison with the relevant business line (or Corporate Coverage team) & Group Legal in connection with the preparation of ISDA and other documentation

  • Administration of the credit process and follow up of conditions of approval

  • Participation in administrative tasks

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Very good academic performance in your economics studies with specialization in/focus on Finance, evidence of interest in financial engineering

  • Preferably, you are at least in the 4th semester of your Bachelor’s degree or already in your Master's degree program

  • Previous experience in the credit department / a financing department of a bank would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • German: C2

  • English: C1

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Strong writing skills as well as attention to detail

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Responsible, committed with very good analytical skills

  • Efficient, precise and independent work style

  • Very good financial understanding
