Data Usage Analyst
Responsibilities
As a Data Usage Analyst, you will coordinate and manage data usage requests (use cases) for your Business Unit or Service Unit. You will support requesters from the definition of their data needs through to the validation of all conditions required for compliant implementation. Acting as a facilitator between business teams and experts (legal, compliance, IT security), you will ensure that all data usage activities meet internal standards, governance requirements, and regulatory obligations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Request Management & Stakeholder Support
- Orchestrate the end‑to‑end processing of data usage requests raised by your BU/SU;
- Support the requester in framing their need and defining feasibility conditions;
- Lead discussions and meetings with all relevant stakeholders and ensure smooth communication between requesters and experts (legal, compliance, security);
- Ensure that each request meets all criteria for implementation and prepare the final validated terms of use;
- Collaborate with other Data Usage Analysts when requests involve multiple BU/SUs or require cross‑entity data access;
2. Alignment With Group Governance & Standards
- Act as the link between your BU/SU and the Group’s data usage governance;
- Contribute to the periodic inventory of data use cases prepared at Group level;
- Escalate blocked or sensitive requests requiring arbitration at Group level;
- Apply the methodological framework defined by GDO, including governance principles, deliverable tracking, budget monitoring, and architectural guidelines;
3. Monitoring, Reporting & Process Improvement
- Perform regular monitoring and reporting based on established KPIs and SLAs for internal stakeholders;
- Contribute to defining and implementing relevant indicators related to data usage;
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to data usage processes, collaboration models, and documentation.
Profile required
- Strong sense of precision, rigor, autonomy, reactivity, and priority management;
- Analytical thinking, strong synthesis skills, and a critical mindset (audit‑oriented approach to understanding and evaluating data processing);
- Very good oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact at different organizational levels;
- Curiosity, proactivity, and the ability to understand both business‑driven and technology‑driven challenges;
- Appetite for data topics and innovation;
- Results‑oriented and focused on client satisfaction;
- Team spirit and positive mindset;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel) and ability to work with Excel and Power BI;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in legal, compliance, audit, or similar fields;
- Knowledge or understanding of risk management, IT security, and IT solutions;
- Experience in banking, compliance, or risk analysis is an advantage;
- Strong expertise in project coordination, with familiarity in change management;
- Very good command of French and English, both written and spoken.
