Junior Finance Analyst – Trainee
Responsibilities
JOB TITLE: Finance Intern (DFIN Canada) – Internship – 3 to 4 months
PURPOSE OF ROLE
Based in Montreal, the selected candidate will work with the Finance Teams for the AMER region. The staff will assist in various capacity, working on financial production, financial performance and analysis & projects. The staff will also directly participate to the management of the operations for the Finance department in the Region with Finance CFO. The job therefore implies a certain level of autonomy, cooperation, and organizational skills.
Ideally, the candidate should have some experience in the Finance industry or large institutions with an academic background in accounting, finance and/or project management.
The candidate will report to a Local Manager working in close relation with several teams.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Run some processes as per a predefined Standard Operating Procedure
Perform Financial Analysis and Reviews
Assist project management
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Use of Microsoft Office applications with ease, including Visio.
Experience in database extraction, transformation and loading is an advantage but not a must.

Ability to assimilate, analyze and communicate a wide variety of information
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with people on site as well as people in remote locations
Analytical and problem-solving skills, disciplined person and able to work with a deadline
Organization skills & attention to details
Must be dependable and motivated
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Degree in Finance, Information Systems, Technology, or another related field

Enthusiastic self-starter with a “can-do” attitude and passion for delivery of solutions
Team spirit
Ability to handle multiple deadlines, manage work independently and be flexible.
LANGUAGE:
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
