V.I.E. Aviation Structured Finance Analyst
Responsibilities
We are currently searching for a V.I.E. to join Societe Generale's Tokyo Aviation team. The department covers the aviation structured financing business in Japan and APAC region. The team covers APAC clients and is also involved in aviation or shipping transactions when those are related to Japanese structuring. SG Aviation team is known as a market leader of ESG linked financial services for the aviation industry, and Tokyo Aviation team is one of the key contributors to such activity.
As a V.I.E. in Aviation Structured Finance you will:
- Perform market research
- Work on structuring the transaction in our in-house models
- Assist in the preparation of pitches and other marketing materials
- Handle commercial, financial and legal due diligence
- Contribute to pricing of financing opportunities
- Participate in the preparation of credit applications
- Review the documentation before closing of the transaction
Assist in other transaction requirements such as E&S, KYC etc
A questionnaire will be provided to you in order to check your VIE (Société Générale and Business France) eligibility. For an efficient analysis of your application, please make sure to truthfully answer all the questions.
Please note that it is mandatory to provide us a formal proof of your M2 diploma validation before the assignment start date. No VIE mission will start without this document. *Grade sheets are not accepted as justification of diploma.
Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance
- A previous experience in banking, structured finance would be appreciated
Language skills:
Fluent in English and French (B2-C1)
Technical, operational & soft skills:
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office (Excel and word) and ability to learn other internal softwares used for structuring our financing
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Team spirit and commitment to efficiency and quality
- A strong passion to work for the commercial aviation finance industry
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Japan is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
