Payment and Cash Management Operations Korea (Senior Associate/VP)
Responsibilities
Job Summary / Job Purpose
- Manage, supervise the payment and settlement team in terms of risk control, process review and project management.
Main Responsibilities /Accountabilities / Tasks
- Experience in Sharing Operational requirements during the implementation phase including understanding of regulatory requirements and reportings.
- Handling of the day-to-day Payment and Cash Management operations comprising foreign currency and Local currency -incoming, outgoing transfers, deposit placements, cheques and nostro account management, ensuring that customers’ transactions are performed in a timely and accurate manner, within service level agreement, in accordance with regulatory requirements, guidelines and bank’s procedures.
- Required to cross train and support other Operational activities beyond Payment and cash management including for Trade finance and Market processes as necessary and assigned by local manager.
- Flexible to adjust working hours to support BOK cutoff time.
- Propose new idea and contribute to the setup. Identify opportunities to automate and digitalize reducing operational risk.
- Lead/Participate in projects to gain efficiency, be compliant to regulations, improve client experience by leveraging on the right services & technologies, keep on connecting to innovation ecosystem, and ensure delivery.
- Keep proper lookout for risks. Contribute to review control framework and create oversight in terms of operational risks management and regulatory requirements in the team.
- Assist manager to execute the Bank’s policies, guidelines, Anti-Money laundering and compliance requirements and operational procedures in the team. Review and ensure procedures are timely updated and created.
- Evaluate new products and business requirements with stakeholders, analyse impact on BAU, define workflow, set up procedures accordingly.
- Coordinate audits and inspection tasks and ensure nil overdue recommendations or findings.
- Ensure execution errors, operational incidents or breach of regulations are resolved and remediated promptly with effective post-mortem actions.
Assist the Manager on team capacity and skillset management.
Profile required
Academic Background (degree and major)
- Bachelor
Working Experience /Technical Skills & Know how
- Experience in Payment and Cash Management activities including Payment input/validation for Local/Foreign currencies.
- Experience on projects management linked to transformation, system implementation/change, process review and /or with various project team to contribute towards operational requirements, functionality, testing strategy and change management.
- Sound knowledge on local rules and regulations and market practise relevant to Payment and Cash Management operations including good knowledge on local clearing HOFINET/BOK wire
- Sound job knowledge of FX regulation, AML/ Sanction and Embargo controls, KYC checks
