Responsibilities

You will join Global Market BMO China team, assist and faciliate Global Markets China and Taiwan Front Office for activities related to business management.  Your mission will be mainly consist of (but not be limited to):

  • Follow up business development projects 
  • Conduct process review and work on process optimization
  • Execute controls to monitor operational risks 
  • Assist to prepare regulatory reportings and surveys
  • Support Sales and Trading on specific requests and solve issues
  • Monitor client onboarding progress
  • Prepare internal presentations and dashboards

Profile required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an Engineering, Business School, or accredited University.Prior experience in the banking or financial services industry is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and multi‑tasking skills are required.The role is exposed to a wide range of issues in a constantly evolving environment; candidates must be able to quickly switch between topics, analyze problems, and propose effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and resilient, with the ability to perform under pressure. Timelines are often tight, deliverables are closely reviewed by multiple stakeholders, and the breadth of tasks can create a demanding working environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel VBA / macro development skills.Candidates will be expected to handle large volumes of data from multiple sources and process them in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin are required.
  • Team player, with a proactive mindset; demonstrates initiative, innovation, and self‑motivation.

This is a fixed term 24-month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. In order to apply for the Trainee position please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of the Trainee contract.
